Dr. Hafni Late and Ms. Sarawut Sangwichian, Academician Prof. Ms. Noppadon Dewilo Arm Tech Manager Engineering Co., Ltd. and Mr. Somchai Phaisiri, a consultant in rail system engineering. A meeting was held to present the details of the equipment's characteristics and request for approval to install to demonstrate the use of the rail weight measuring device. Track status and identify train attributes. to the management team and officials of the State Railway of Thailand (SRT) at the Mechanic Department meeting room State Railway of Thailand Bangkok.

At this meeting, the SRT was led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Siripong Pruitthiphan, Deputy Governor, Locomotive and Wheeled Maintenance Business Group and a team of SRT officers, such as engineers supervising the trailer planning division Engineer overseeing the Locomotive Schemes Division Engineer of Project Supervision and Planning Division Maintenance Engineer technical staff attend the presentation.

Dr.Anat Hasub, Director of RTTC, presented an overview of missions in 5 areas of RTTC - TISTR, namely:

  1. Development of rail testing infrastructure
  2. Support for Thai entrepreneurs
  3. The drafting of Thai rail system standards
  4. Research and development of the NESDB, which focuses on Industrial Research in the field of Operation & Maintenance (O&M) and
  5. Technology Transfer Then presented an overview of the installation project on the Eastern Railroad. Laem Chabang Station - Lat Krabang ICD Station, which will be equipped with dynamic weight devices of RAWLOC and TWD train wheels 2 stations and IDENT equipment consisting of 2 station identification cameras and 3 station locomotive locating devices, which the RTAF team has to explore the availability of various stations already on that path.

The meeting was asked about the specific features of various devices. as well as exchanging technical opinions that are very beneficial to the development of technology to support the efficiency and safety of rail transport of TISTR-SRT.

In addition, the device for measuring the dynamic weight of train wheels (TWD) is a technology developed by TISTR-SRT, both in hardware and software. Research from The Pérez-Guerrero Trust Fund for South-South Cooperation (PGTF) from the United Nations Office for South-South Cooperation (UNOSSC) aims to support the efficiency and safety of rail freight transport using technology. produced and invented for use in the country Rely on their own technology in the future (Self - Reliance). Reduce dependence on foreign technology. In line with the goals of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) under the PGTF fund, TISTR-SRT aims to deploy in 3 areas: Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia.
