What Types of Fire Extinguishing Agents Are Used in FlamTec's Fire Suppression Technologies?

The ALAS Aerosol Fire Suppression System uses an aerosol extinguishing agent primarily composed of potassium carbonate (K₂CO₃). When activated, the system releases fine aerosol particles into the affected area. These particles interrupt the chemical chain reaction of combustion, enabling rapid fire suppression without requiring large quantities of water or bulky high-pressure cylinders.

The ALAS Aerosol extinguishing agent is non-conductive, and the system supports both electrical and manual activation. It can be applied in various enclosed or semi-enclosed spaces, including engine compartments, electrical rooms, control cabinets, transformer rooms, generator rooms, storage areas, and other industrial environments.

The ALAS Bus Set also utilizes aerosol fire suppression technology. For example, the AP-530 Bus Set is designed for passenger vehicles such as coaches, buses, and minibuses. Each AP-530 unit contains approximately 530 grams of extinguishing agent. The number of units required is determined based on the size and volume of the engine compartment. For instance, four AP-530 units may be installed to protect an engine compartment with a volume of approximately 4 m³, depending on the system design requirements.
